THE POWER PLANT OPERATION

AZITO ENERGIE contracted with AZITO O&M, an Ivorian limited liability company, the operation and maintenance of the power plant.
The capital of Azito O&M is held to 50% by ABB EQUITY VENTURES (USA) and 50% by EDF International (France).


Mission 

The mission of AZITO O&M is to satisfy, in terms of planning, costs and quality, the requirements of its customers thanks to the an energy supply that respects environment.

AZITO O&M aims to be the reference operator in Africa in terms of sustainable development. In order to achieve this goal, AZITO O&M team committed themselves in the ATCHAN Project, aiming at the triple Quality Safety Environment (QSE) certification. AZITO O&M obtained these three certificates in December, 2003.

Aims of the Operator 

The major objectives assigned to the Operator are:  
- an annual availability always higher than the contractual value; 
- an annual capacity above the guaranteed value; 
- a better annual heat rate compared to the
guaranteed  value.

The objectives and goals above are evaluated each year in the presence of the State, the Owner (AZITO ENERGIE) and the grid Operator (CIE). 

Maintenance

The maintenance of the turbines is based over the EOH (Equivalent Operating Hours) leading to three types of shutdowns planned for inspections (A, B and C type). A preventive maintenance programme is also managed by a specific maintenance software.
